Here at moviereviewbt.weebly.com, we review all sorts of movies so that the public can know if the movie is worth watching or not.
Caddyshack
A classic movie of its generation, we give Caddyshack a 6.5/10. Full of iconic moments in films, it was very funny, especially Bill Murray's character, Carl. Carl's goal in the movie it to exterminate a gopher who is ravaging throughout the golf course, wreaking havoc. Carl ends up screwing things up but it's hard to deny, his character that Murray portrays is very funny. Murray is a central part of the most famous scene in the entire movie where swimmers find that somebody defecated in the pool when it was really a Baby Ruth candy bar, nut nobody knew that. The owners decided to drain the pool and one owner ends up fainting upon watching Carl pick up the piece of 'poop' and eating it. Danny Noonan is the main character and he is trying to save for college by work as a caddy at the local golf course. Upon finding out about a great opportunity where he could go to college on a scholarship if he impresses the local Judge with how good he is at being a caddy while also winning the caddy golf tournament. So, when a fellow caddy who was in line for the scholarship dies, Danny's opportunity opens up. He decides to be a 'brown nose' and a 'goody two shoes' for the Judge in hopes of achieving the scholarship. Overall, the movie was pretty good and really funny, but I think that some parts of the movie were left with the generation. I didn't really like the gopher scenes just because of how unrealistic the gopher looked and simple little things like that. But other than those small things that I wasn't really a fan of, I enjoyed my time during the movie and would reccomend it to anyone willing to watch a great film with few racy scenes.
American Made
American Made- Tom Cruise is starring in this great action/thriller movie. In the movie, Tom is working as a pilot for the CIA. In the beginning his task was to take pictures of rebels in central and South America for the CIA. However, he gets caught up with the drug cartel where he starts to transport cocaine across the border in his plane. Then, Cruise started to fly down guns for the Good guys and he flew back cocaine for the cartel. After a while, he became extremely wealthy, but it was a dangerous task for him to complete. Cruise got thrown in jail after getting caught for the drugs but was eventually released because the government knew that he was trusted by the drug lords. The the CIA wanted him to take down the drug cartel by flying down and take pictures of them with the cocaine, loading up the plane which would be all of the evidence that they needed. Later, the cartel saw the pictures on TV and they knew he betrayed him. This all leads into a suspenseful ending. We rate this movie a 9/10.
Black Panther
Black Panther was yet another Marvel movie with high ratings and I agree with other critics that it was a really good movie. We rate this movie an 8.5/10. However, I feel as though as good as the movie was, the concept was very similar to the recent Thor movie. This film is being called such a great movie for the cast diversity as well as how good it actually is. This movie is not being hyped up by critics, it's actually that good. The Black Panther, T'Challa, had recently been crowned king of Wakanda after the passing of his father when a new challenger wanted to take the throne from him. T'Challa accepted the challenge and had an intense fight scene with Erik, the challenger. T'Challa had been beaten until he had no strength left within him when he was pushed off of the high cliff and Erik was crowned king. He was barely living when another tribe found him and carried him back to their living space. T'Challa's sister found them keeping him alive there and decided to give him the last of the potion that transforms somebody into the black panther and T'Challa wakes up. He has extra motivation now to knock him off of the throne. Erik had plans to distribute the valuable metal, known as vibranium to the rest of the world which was something that most people were not a fan of. After a long battle between the two people as well as everybody who had conflicting ideas in Wakanda had a big battle and in the end T'Challa and the people supporting him came out victorious as Erik had been taken down.
Jumanji
Jumanji is a classic and I'm going to be reviewing the remastered version with the Rock Johnson and Kevin Hart. This movie starts out with regular high school students. Each of them having wildly different personalities. Miraculously they all wind up in detention at the end of a school day and had to take staples out of paper. But they notice a game and turn it on. It reads jumanji and they all pick their characters and then they get literally sucked into the real life game of jumanji. To get out alive they have restore peace to the world of jumanji without losing all three of their lives. But if they die three times they die in real life too. This leads to a very funny movie that also has a very interesting plot. I would rate this movie a 9/10.
Baby Driver
Baby driver is about a talented car driver who is the getaway driver for a group of robbers. He uses music from an iPod to hype himself up before any job. He knows that what he was doing was wrong but he needed to repay the leader of the group from a past debt needed the money to support him and his disabled foster father, Joseph. I think that he also gets a good feeling from the thrill of escaping a police chase. He has to make a decision though when he meets the girl of his dreams at the local coffee shop. To continue with his life of crime or to retire and get a normal job. He was told that if he did this one last big job for the group of criminals, he could go. However, Baby, the main character, screws up the operation for the team and after attempting to run off with the love of his life, he ends up getting caught by the police. He surrenders and does his time in jail. When he gets out, he is reunited with the girl.
